Introduction
The client is a manufacturer of children’s products in the telecommunications and technology sector, developing dynamically for the last 10 years. They were looking for a service provider who would store and ship their goods from central Europe. Thanks to the location of our warehouse in Poland, we are able to facilitate the efficient delivery of goods to each EU country in a short time and at a reasonable cost.
The client also needed product transformation services, such as adding leaflets and stickers to the packaging, updating operating systems, adding necessary equipment upon special request, and repairing and restoring products to factory settings.
About our client
Founded almost a decade ago, their products are used by children and provide parents with peace of mind by enabling them to contact their child, no matter where they are. Their product range is constantly evolving and being updated with newer models.
The client does not limit its products to children only, but also produces product for seniors.
Why did they need us?
The client was looking for a contractor for their products, preferably in central Europe, who would help them with storage and distribution to 18 countries, as well as management of customer returns. At the same time, they expected support in processing the finished product to be tailored to the recipient’s requirements. For each of their clients, they required a different type of rework so the recipient received a product tailored to their parameters, country and configuration. These tasks included:
- Flashing – ensuring delivery of the goods with the newest, customized version of software for the recipient.
- SIM card installation – appropriate for the recipient’s country.
- Adding leaflets & stickers – the additions inserted into the packaging or labels stuck on the packaging depended on the scope of work that was specified by the client, which country the goods would be shipped to, the current promotional campaign, etc.
- Refurbishing – in the case of customer returns, the goods would be thoroughly checked by the quality department and cataloged in terms of suitability for resale or sent back to the manufacturer. The client also required recovery of items that could be used for refurbishment or repair.

What solution did we create?
The client had a real influence on the solutions we implemented from the beginning.
- We developed a communication system with the client to allow them to tell us what was required for each order individually, and specify to a great level of detail what type of work was necessary. We enabled the easy update of this information, as well as dispatch and delivery notifications.
- Specific physical rework stations were created so that after a delivery of new components, processing could begin immediately and the goods could be sent to the recipient without unnecessary delay.
- Backlog management systems were put in place, allowing the client to prioritise orders that were waiting for inventory to arrive.
- A new monthly billing process was created, allowing them to track their costs back to a PO level.
What were the results?
The client has been able to significantly increase their capacity for order fulfilment, now being able to process and transport a larger amount of goods than before. This has lead to increased turnover, which has grown each year of our partnership. Thanks to the location of our warehouse in Poland, delivery times to recipients have also shortened and the cost of transport has been reduced.
The client has now been able to turn their attention to the growth of their business, without the distractions their highly specific supply chain processes were previously giving them.
