IFA Berlin has once again brought the global tech industry together, drawing in professionals, brands, and enthusiasts from around the world. This year’s edition welcomed over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and attracted around 220,000 visitors across its halls, making it one of the largest technology trade shows in Europe. The event continues to serve as a key meeting point for innovation, networking, and trend-spotting in the consumer electronics and home technology sectors, though, as always, it comes with its own mix of pros and cons.
There was a noticeable rise in robotics-based products. With manual labour still a challenge in certain sectors post-Covid, robotics is increasingly positioned as a viable alternative. The Neura range, for example, showcased diverse applications spanning from industrial use to household solutions.
Home working and lifestyle products also stood out, with the Hedgehog range of clothes and boot dryers drawing particular attention.
E-mobility was highly visible, with several Asia-based brands — including Hi Boy and Navee — making strong entries into the EU market.
Exhibition stands appeared larger this year, even in Hall 25’s “Next Gen” area for startups and growing companies. This may reflect both efforts by organisers to fill space and attractive last-minute deals for exhibitors. One brand reported securing a significantly discounted, larger stand by booking late — potentially hinting at a slight decline in exhibitor numbers compared to last year.
Despite some debate about the balance of trade versus consumer focus, IFA remains a must-attend event for the tech industry. With its scale, global reach, and mix of established players and emerging brands, the show continues to unite the sector and highlight the direction technology is taking. It will be interesting to see how the organisers develop further from what was established this year and what new trends and improvements will shape the event in 2026.
