ISPO Munich has been a cornerstone event for the sports industry since 1970, and the 2025 edition followed the same direction. The show brought together a broad international mix of brands, manufacturers and suppliers across nine halls at Messe München. Four of these halls were dedicated to sourcing, with a strong presence from China, alongside exhibitors from India, Pakistan, Taiwan and other key production markets.

For a first-time visit, the event offered a good overview of the industry. The mix of established and emerging brands made it easy to spot new materials and product ideas, and the active areas, including padel and tennis courts and a boxing ring, gave the show an engaging energy. The conference program added additional value with presentations from industry leaders.
At the same time, the focus was clearly centered on textiles, apparel and materials. Sport tech, wellness, health and spa categories were noticeably limited, and the sourcing halls, especially the ones further from the main entrance, felt quieter. Several regular exhibitors also mentioned that traffic seemed lower than in previous years.

Overall, ISPO remains a relevant event for understanding where the industry is heading, especially from a materials and sourcing perspective. With a broader representation in sport tech and wellness, future editions could offer an even more complete picture of the market.
