Exertis SCS participated in the Supply Supply Chain Conference & Panel Workshop in Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick (UL) on June 22nd 2018. The event was jointly organised by The University of Limerick (UL) & The Supply Chain Management Institute (IPICS).
Exertis SCS Accounts Director, Vincent McGrath, presented on the future of supply chain and the potential threats & opportunities emerging from an ever-expanding supply chain market in Ireland. The speakers also agreed that there is a strong need for joint efforts from the supply chain industry to promote their interests at a wider level, which should not be limited to government only but also to the working class. They also considered how supply chain education could be introduced at secondary school level. The impact of Brexit and the Donald Trump Influence in business ventures in Ireland added some spark to the arguments. The group also agreed that a Hard Brexit could pose a significant threat to businesses here in Ireland.
