Multidisciplinary conferences such as this are essential for lifesciences practitioners and policy advisors to keep abreast of sector trends and share ideas on how best to drive and support the growth and development of exporting businesses based in Ireland.”
Matt Moran, Director of Ibec BioPharmachem Ireland said, “As the national representative association for the biopharma sector, we welcome the opportunity to discuss national policy priorities and to engage in discussion with industry practitioners. Initiatives such as this greatly support the Biopharmachem mission of helping indigenous med tech & pharma companies to develop their competitiveness and productivity.”
Enda McDonnell, Manager, Global Sourcing, Enterprise Ireland said, “A key focus of Enterprise Ireland is to help Irish companies scale and expand their reach globally. Our dedicated global sourcing team works closely with these companies to create connections with multinationals which can lead to global business opportunities. Cork and the Munster region are internationally renowned for strength in medtech and pharma. This event will showcase the region as a location where product, service and technology solutions can be sourced, and it presents an opportunity for companies to learn about emerging trends in the lifesciences sector”.
Neal Johnston, Exertis SCS, Managing Director said, “This conference will provide the perfect forum for indigenous Irish companies, multinationals and government agencies to discuss and debate some of the key topics facing the Irish lifesciences sector. The onset of Brexit, for example, is likely to have major implications for the lifesciences sector. From a supply chain perspective, we want to help Irish companies to continue growing their exports while also supporting the establishment of multinational operations here in Ireland.”
The event will also feature a site visit to a local supplier of Serialisation and Track & Trace solutions, Crest Solutions. Here, attendees will see live demonstrations of the Antares Vision machines that are used to achieve compliance with regulations for anti-counterfeiting efforts globally.
